Completed in 1997, Palace Court is comprised of a single, well-built 32-story residence with spacious and modern apartments. Potential tenants may choose from one of their unfurnished spaces or go with any one of their individually styled apartments. On the upper floors, the views of the city are stunning. Tenants also have access to an underground parking facility, a pool, and more.
Since Palace Court is less ‘compound’ and more ‘building’, they lack the full comprehensive range of facilities and amenities that competitors have on offer. Today, the immediate area surrounding Palace Court is packed with international restaurants, bars, clothing brands, and entertainment options. The nearby junction of Donghu Road and Fumin Road has several bars and restaurants. IAPM Mall, which is close to the metro station on Middle Huaihai Road (a major commercial street), has a two-story official Apple Store, a City Super (an international supermarket), etc. Also nearby is the Kung Fu Komedy Club, which does shows in English, the historic Cathay theatre, and the expat-run Craft’d Shanghai.
The South Shaanxi metro station (Lines 1/10/12) is just 5 minutes away by foot, and the Changshu metro station (Lines 1/7) is 10 minutes away. Drivers are within easy access of the Yan’an Elevated Road (an expressway). Pudong Airport is about 1 hour away by car, and the Hongqiao Airport is about 40 minutes away by car or just 35 minutes by metro. Barring rush hour, Jing’an, People’s Square, Xintiandi, Xujiahui, Zongshan Park, and The Bund are all 20 minutes or less by car. Several key places are easily reachable by foot, bike, or public transport; Jing’an and Xintiandi, for example, are only 10 minutes away by bike.
