Topping the list of Shanghai’s best compounds is City Castle. Located in the central district of Jing’an and designed by a team of Taiwanese developers, City Castle was created with a Western-aesthetic in mind. A small collection of gorgeous white villas sit near the entrance, but the apartment buildings that make up the bulk of the compound are equally luxurious and well-maintained.
